Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge Team Raises Thousands!

Our intrepid Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge team scaled new heights, walked tirelessly, and raised thousands of pounds recently.

In aid of our chosen charity of the year – the Children’s Heart Unit Fund (Chuf) – 17 employees hiked up three mountains in the Yorkshire Dales, walked a 24-mile route, and did so in under 12 hours!

Some made it to the 17-mile marker, with others going to the end, on a long, gruelling day that was a genuine test of endurance for all involved.

Raising £4,552 for Chuf, the participants in our team did themselves proud! Winn Group will also be matching the fundraising amount, doubling the donation we will make to Chuf.

That means the final total that will be donated is £9,104!

Ross Jackson, Deputy CSR Lead, said: “Every person who took part in this challenge did a phenomenal job. I cannot underestimate how tough a task it is to walk that far, let alone sprinkle three mountains in there for good measure!

“Thank you to everyone who took part and anyone who donated to a very worthy cause. I know the charity appreciates every single penny donated and will put it to good use helping those children on the ward, who face a tough road ahead.”

Thanks to the following people for taking part on the day: Adam Wallace, Alex Russell, Alisha Fucile, Amy Thompson, Callum Trett, Connor Healy, Eleanor Crook, Estee Walton, Helena Lowther, Joseph Blackham, Lucy Dinning, Molly Graham, Nicola Maamri, Ross Jackson, Sean McAuley, Tom Sadler, and Victoria McBride.
