Winn Solicitors is sponsoring Byker-based St Lawrence's Primary School as part of Walk to School Week.

A national campaign, organised by Living Streets, it is designed to promote walking to school to improve the health and well being of children, as well as the additional benefits of improving air pollution in and around school grounds.

We have worked together with the charity to provide a series of learning packs for classes, with lots of activities to carry out during the school day, in an effort to raise awareness around the importance of walking to school.

Winn Group Digital Marketing Manager, Amy Thompson, said: "We have worked with Living Streets over a number of years to support a variety of schools in the local area as they get involved with Walk to School Week.

"Last year was a great success with the children having fun and, more importantly, learning the benefits of walking to school for both their health and the environment.

"To support St Lawrence's on this campaign week is a way of giving back to the local community."
