Emma Green is celebrating a decade with Winns which has seen her talent and consistent hard work appreciated and rewarded with continuous career progression.
We caught up with Emma as she reflected on her time at Winn Group:
-----------
I started at Winns as a fee earner in the Vehicle Damage department in 2011 and within a year of starting at the firm I was successful in securing a training contract which I completed in 2014, so I have now been a qualified solicitor for over seven years.
I moved to what was the old Part 7 Personal Injury department in 2013 and then to what was the old Trials/Disputes team early 2014, returning to the Vehicle Damage team in June 2016 as a team leader.
Since returning from my second maternity leave in April 2021, I have been seconded to a bespoke training role within the department to assist with the influx of new starters coming into the department. My aim is to ensure thorough and structured training, giving those new to the firm the best possible start. My role will also involve updating existing training and drafting new training that will be required.
I have always been supported by management within the firm and felt as though they recognise and appreciate hard work and loyalty. This was first apparent when I was offered a role as a fee earner, even though the vacancy I applied for was for an administration role, and then I was soon awarded a training contract although I had not been with the firm very long at the time.
My line managers have always backed me and helped me to become the confident supervisor I feel I am today. The knowledge they have imparted and the support they have given me has been invaluable.
My favourite thing about working for Winn Solicitors is the people I work with. The Vehicle Damage department really is like one big family. They are the reason I enjoy my job.
The Vehicle Damage team is a great representation of the Group value of loyalty which is clear from the large number of staff members who have been with the firm for a number of years, in particular the managers and team leaders.
I would like to say thank you to the firm for the last 10 years, I appreciate every opportunity that has been afforded to me.

Chris Cullingworth, Associate Director – Head of Vehicle Damage, congratulated Emma saying;
"In my 4 ½ years of working directly with Emma, she has always been a reliable and integral part of the team. Emma is very knowledgeable and always on hand to impart her knowledge to less experienced members of the department.
"This is why, upon return from maternity, Emma was seconded onto a training role in vehicle damage to aid the training and development of the new members of the team. As expected, Emma has done fantastically and will continue to mould the future Legal Clerks and Solicitors of the Vehicle Damage team.
"I would like to thank Emma for all of her hard work and loyalty over the last 10 years…….here's to another 10 years!"
