HR Assistant Embarks on Winning Career

Meisha Wallace has recently joined the HR team in the role of HR Assistant. She will be responsible for assisting the HR Officer with all aspects of HR.

Her key responsibilities will include recruitment and selection, induction of new staff, performance and attendance management, formal HR proceedings, training and development, health and safety and the development of HR policy and procedure in line with employment legislation changes, and progressing company accreditations.

Meisha, from High Farm in Wallsend, has joined the firm from the healthcare sector, where she worked for an organisation called CASA as a HR Coordinator. She recently completed her Level 3 CIPD qualification, and has embarked upon her Level 5 CIPD qualification in human resource management, which she aims to have completed by June 2016.

Meisha said;

“I was keen work in a generalist HR position, where I could gain further exposure to all aspects of HR given that my previous role focussed mainly on recruitment. When I learned that Winns was looking for a HR Assistant, it was clear that the company and position was exactly what I was looking for. I was very pleased to be offered the position and I’m looking forward to seeing what the future will bring as part of the Winns team.”

HR Officer Colette Adair added;

“We are delighted to welcome Meisha to the HR Team. This is an exciting time for the company, as we continue to grow. Meisha’s skills and experience will make her a real asset to the team.”
