As part of the on-going support of our chosen charity of the year, Winn Group has made a pre-Christmas donation to the People’s Kitchen.

After a successful Winn Group golf day, we were able to donate £465 directly to the charity which will help provide an evening meal for 93 homeless people in the region.

We are also taking part in their Christmas advent calendar event, which provides a moment of cheer for those that come to the Kitchen.

On each day of December, in the run-up to Christmas Day, there will be a different sweet treat. Winns has sponsored the ‘Terry’s Chocolate Orange’ door, purchasing 160 for distribution to the homeless people in the shelter that evening.

Maureen Armstrong, one of the corporate fundraisers at the People’s Kitchen, said: “Every year we like to make the Christmas period a little bit special for the homeless and vulnerable Friends who use our services.

“Your very kind donation helps us to achieve this. We are thankful for your continued support.”

Winns has made regular donations throughout the year with the People’s Kitchen our current charity of the year.
