Congratulations to the Winn Group staff who participated in the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge as they not only completed it but raised a fantastic £17,202 for the Great North Air Ambulance Service!

The Directors have kindly contributed to the amount raised by the team, taking the grand total to the final staggering amount.

A terrific achievement by all concerned, 25 Winn Group staff took to the Yorkshire Dales to walk 24 miles, hike three mountains, and do this all within a 12-hour stint.

Giles Evans, a fundraiser with GNAAS, said: “When I saw the amount on the cheque I was genuinely humbled. It’s an amazing figure for which we are so grateful for – thank you one and all.

“We are publicly funded and the amount you raised will genuinely help us to save lives.”

Ross Jackson, CSR Committee member, said: “This final total is fantastic to see as a lot of effort went into setting up this event and from everyone fundraising to achieve our target, which originally was £10,000.

“To go well past that is a testament to everyone who took part. Scaling up our CSR events has been challenging but thoroughly worthwhile.

“Thanks to every Winn Group employee who participated in this successful weekend and hopefully we can make a similar positive impact in the future.”
