Congratulations to Michelle Cox on reaching the 15-year mark at Winn Group recently.

Starting as a Finance Assistant, she progressed her career, moving from Senior Finance Assistant to Accounts Team Leader to Accounts Manager and now her current role as Group Management Accountant, one she thoroughly enjoys.

“When I first started, I was really impressed with the company’s professionalism, knowledge, and forward-thinking, so I had high hopes to be able to commit long-term, although I honestly hadn’t thought ahead as far as 15 years!” said Michelle, after receiving flowers, champagne, and vouchers to mark the occasion.

“Initially, I focused on learning as much as possible about the company and doing a good job in my immediate role. As the business grew and new opportunities arose, I now find myself 15 years older but still in a role I thoroughly enjoy.

“I honestly just enjoy the type of work that I do, but it’s the lovely people I work with and the team spirit that makes all the difference.

“What has kept me here for 15 years is the variety of the work, which can be both challenging and rewarding, and having great colleagues to work with across the entire group. That, alongside the stability and support provided within the firm, has made it an easy choice to stay.

“Management has always backed my professional development and role progression.  The company have provided many invaluable training opportunities over the years and continues to do so.”

When considering who she’d like to thank during her time here, Michelle was generous in her appreciation.

She added: “I would love to say a huge thank you to my colleagues and friends in the finance department for being such a great bunch to work with.

“A special thank you goes to my immediate team for their daily support and fantastic team spirit, and to my Managers and the Directors for placing their trust in me over the years - I am very proud to have been a part of Winn’s successful journey!”
