Phil Aspin is celebrating a well-deserved promotion to Team Leader in the Costs department.
Having initially joined Winns as a Costs Clerk nearly eight years ago after graduating from Northumbria University with a Law Degree and LPC, Phil is grateful to Winns for supporting him through his ACL (Association of Costs Lawyers) qualification. He said;
“Winns has helped me develop my career and, ultimately, I have earned my role as Team Leader because of the help and support provided.”
Phil’s new role will require him to provide support to team members and ensure department procedures are followed to enable the smooth running of the department in collaboration with management and the Costs team to secure department targets.
Commenting on his time so far at Winns, Phil showed his appreciation of the people and drive of the Group saying;
“The people at Winns make it a feel-good atmosphere and make coming to work enjoyable. Winn Group is always quick to adapt to change which makes it a great place to work.”
During the first lockdown, he not only missed the people, but also the serenity of the office and was as keen to take the chance to thank Winn Group for supporting him throughout his career as Rachel Glendenning, Head of the Costs Team, was to acknowledge Phil’s loyal work ethic and true representation of the Winn Group values;
“Phil has been with the firm for coming up eight years; he joined the firm as a graduate fresh out of university and during that time has worked hard to develop his knowledge and skills within the area of legal costs. Phil undertook the three-year ACL course and qualified as a Costs Lawyer in 2018. During his time within the Department, Phil has shown his loyalty and commitment to the team and the business and is now looking to offer his knowledge and skills to other members within the department within his new role as a Team Leader.
“I am looking forward to working with Phil as part of the Costs Management Team.”
Everyone at Winn Group would like to congratulate Phil and offer our support as he fulfils his new role with the same positive attitude he has shown over the past eight years.
